Hampton Earns First Ever National Trans-Am Win at Mid-Ohio

David scored his first ever national win in the rain and a 3rd place overall finish! The race started out dry but quickly turned wet within the first few laps at Mid-Ohio which forced the entire field to pit for rains. Our crew knocked out a super fast pit stop getting all four tires changed under caution. David then went back out and marched forward while other competitors had to pit for rain tires. Chris Coffey in his Maserati GT4 made a late race charge but David was able to respond and found some more pace to hold on for the win!

Racing in the rain is never an easy task and it requires continuous concentration and lots of patience. David did a fantastic job managing the conditions without mistakes. He earned this one and has been working towards that first national win for a long time. We’re so proud of his continued growth and dedication to his craft! It was certainly a wild race and one to remember!
