Podium Finish at Lucky Dog Sonoma

It was an eventful @raceluckydog down in Sonoma last week but we finished the event on the podium! We had a motor swap Friday, differential swap Saturday, and a few axle swaps throughout the weekend we had to overcome.

We led at the start of Saturday with Ross Bentley behind the wheel before we had a freak tire blow out. We didn’t lose much time and battled in the top 5 for most of the day before having axle vibrations that set us back. Saturday night we swapped the diff and another axle and ran vibration free all day Sunday! We led for most of the race up until an hour to go when we got spun by an out of class car in T11. We had a 40 second lead at the time, but with Lucky Dog rules both cars have to self report to the pits for any contact. After the spin and pit stop, we fell back to third which is where we finished.

Not the result we felt like we earned, but sometimes that’s just how it goes! We were really proud of Brad, Tyler, and Ross for doing an outstanding job all weekend keeping the car on track and in one piece. They drove a really smart race both days and we certainly enjoyed having them as always!
