Hampton Wins International GT Race at COTA SpeedTour

Texas. We went for the barbecue. And stayed for a race!

Another great SpeedTour at COTA! David got an awesome International GT win on Saturday beating Woody Whichard by just 0.312 at the finish line! Overall, David beat seven other Cayman GT4 Clubsports. It was an awesome drive!

Sunday was the Trans-Am race and David got a great start and jumped up to the lead in the GT class on the first lap! Our friend Chris Coffey is always relentless and so fast. He was able to get back by and take the win with David finishing second after a consistent effort after 75 minutes of hard racing. Congrats to Chris on the championship!

David has showed so much growth this season working with our coaches, crew, and data engineer. We couldn’t be more proud of him! His enthusiasm and joy for racing really inspires our team each and every weekend to give him the best car and resources we can. COTA is always a great way to end the Trans-Am season and we had a lot of fun as always!
